How-To

Communicate With Us

Before talking to your transcription/caption service provider, please carefully review the the checklists below. An experienced caption service provider will ask you questions relate to each checklist. Professional caption service providers may explain many subtle details related to each subject.

May we respectably suggest you be sensitive on these small details, as you may not yet be fully aware of or appreciate the importance and complexity of transcription/caption?

Some video producers, for lack of understanding of people who use captions, may easily skip small caption details. A typical reason is the fear of intrusion on their carefully designed and crafted video screens. Please kindly be reminded that closed captions, as well as subtitles, can be turned on and off easily. Once the closed caption button is turned on, the viewer already implies her/his need of more information, other than the original video and audio tracks.

If we all agree that the goal is to ensure viewers' full understanding of a captioned video, then please recognize that captions, in addition to video and audio, are designed exactly to serve that purpose. Good captions always help more people understand the video better.
